DMHS Museum New Exhibits

The summer was hot, but lots of cool new exhibits were installed at the Dolgeville-Manheim Historical Society. With the help of Herkimer County Summer Youth Program Employee Natalie Nagle, 3 new exhibits were added to the museum.

  • The Lions and Lioness Clubs were active groups that always had fun giving back to the community. On display is the Dolgeville Monopoly game featuring local businesses as well as various club memorabilia highlighting their impact on the area.

  • Do you remember the Mutchler Photography Studio? An array of photos, articles and the famous "studio bench" are on display. These items were generously donated to the museum by the family of Harold Smith.

  • Senator Patrie was an important part of the history of Dolgeville NY. His residence, located on Main Street, is now home to a bed and breakfast and highlights some of the best in local architecture. An exhibit of photos taken of the home are now displayed at the museum.
Tour appointments can be made by calling: 429-8574, 429-9002 or 429-8307.
